To back up your data, please first make a copy of the database. This is usually done by your Confluence system administrator.

To uninstall the suite and its plugins, you will need to head over to the Confluence administration.

Navigate to Confluence administration → Manage apps.

First you want to uninstall the Linchpin Intranet Suite. This will remove the suite and all licenses.

Search for “Linchpin Intranet Suite”. Click on the Linchpin Intranet Suite tab. Then, click on the Uninstall button. Confirm this action by clicking on the Uninstall app button.

After you’ve uninstalled the Linchpin Intranet Suite, some “app leftovers” remain. These apps won’t be active anymore, but they need to be uninstalled completely.

There is no particular order of apps which should be uninstalled first. Just make sure that the Linchpin Suite API (formerly Linchpin Manager API) is uninstalled last. This is the one and only exception.

To uninstall an app, click on the tab with its name. Click on the Uninstall button and confirm this action by clicking on the Uninstall app button.

After you’ve uninstalled the Linchpin Intranet Suite and all (inactive and active) Linchpin apps, it’s time to uninstall the Linchpin Suite API (formerly Linchpin Manager API).

Click on the tab with Linchpin Suite API (formerly Linchpin Manager API). Click the Uninstall button. In the new window, click on the Uninstall app button to confirm your action.

It is important to uninstall every component of Linchpin. Remaining apps could cause problems after the new installation of the Linchpin Intranet Suite.
