What are space types?

Space types are similar to space categories. Types are like folders for spaces. It’s a nice way of displaying all related spaces in the space directory.

How to access the space types settings?

Navigate to Confluence administration > Linchpin Theme > Space types.

Create space types

To create a new space type, click on the Create button.

Choose a title for your space type and enter the space categories which should belong to this space type.

Click on the Save button to create the space type.

To delete a space type, click on the Delete button. A confirmation window will open. Click on Delete to confirm the deletion.

Translate space types

You can translate the titles of your space types. The translations will be applied where needed. For example, when an employee has their language set to “Spanish”, a Spanish translation of the space type will be displayed in their space directory.

Click on the translate button.

A window will open. Click on the Select new locale button to choose a language. Click on the Add button to add this language to the translation database.

You can now enter the translated title of the space type. Click on the Save button to save the translation.

To change a translation, click on the edit button below the translated title. Then enter the new translation and click on Save.
